Market Gate Process/Build Plan Lock
The purpose of this job aid is to provide guidance to market employees on identifying which sites have entered the gate for material shipments and which sites have entered the build plan lock. Entering the gate puts the site in queue to receive materials. The build plan lock is the window of time when no additional changes can be made to a site’s construction materials BOM or to the shipment details, including which sites are shipping and to which location.
Process
Within NexsysOne, certain steps will be taken to initiate a site’s entry into the 4 week gate, as well as to indicate that the site has entered the 2 week lock. This section outlines the tasks involved with this process and the parties responsible for various tasks. The image below uses theoretical dates used to demonstrate the expected timeline.

Validate Criteria
| In order for a site to enter the market gate process, the following criteria must be met: MA180 NTP Received must be actualized. CX120 Construction POR Submitted for Approval must be actualized. The Material BOM for the site must be fully approved, including addresses for ship locations.

Forecast MA190
| | Market Team |
Initial Approval
| Supply Chain Management (SCM) reviews sites to determine if they meet the criteria. The most effective way to have sites evaluated is to properly forecast MA190. SCM will evaluate any site with an MA190 FC date 7 weeks from the current week. If needed, communicate directly with SCM at 5Gsupplychain@dish.com to submit sites for approval.
A site will not enter the 4 week gate immediately after the criteria are met, as the Supply Chain team begins pre-approving sites 3 weeks prior to the 4 week gate.

Enter 4 Week Gate
| Supply Chain Management will forecast CX068 Approved for Shipment. When this date is forecasted, the site enters the 4 week gate. Any necessary final adjustments should be made to the materials BOMs.

Enter 2 Week Lock
| Supply Chain Management will actualize CX068 Approved for Shipment. When this date is actualized, the site is part of the 2 week lock. At this point, no additional adjustments can be made to the BOM.
| Supply Chain Management |
Confirm Ship Date
| Supply Chain Management will forecast CX072 HUB Civil Materials Shipped Date. CX072 FC date indicates when the materials will ship from the hub. Until the exact ship date is determined by the hub, this forecast date will be the Monday 7 days prior to the MA190 forecast date. This date is updated by SCM based on verified communication with the hub.

Tracking in NexsysOne
Within NexsysOne, it is possible to track your market’s sites as they enter the 4 week gate and the 2 week lock. This can be done using control template filters. To view all sites within the 4 week gate AND the 2 week lock, apply the following filters:
You can then add columns to clearly identify where sites are in the market gate process.
The first two sites have entered the 4 week gate, as indicated by the CX068 FC Date.
The second two sites have entered the 2 week lock, as indicated by the CX065 AC Date.
