NexsysOne MRP Report

The purpose of this job aid is to walk the Supply Chain Team through the usage of the ‘MRP Report’ section of NexsysOne, which tracks the upcoming supply and demand for various products needed within the warehouses to distribute to markets.

MRP Report Overview

The MRP Report includes all items with a ‘B’ MRP classification listed as ‘Active’ in the ProjectOne > Procurement > Product section of NexsysOne. This report aggregates data from BOMs, bulk PORs, and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to determine the supply and demand for a particular product within a particular time frame.

This allows the Supply Chain Team to ensure the appropriate amounts are on hand as needed. To access the MRP Report, visit ProjectOne > Procurement > MRP Report of NexsysOne, as highlighted in the screenshot below.

Scope of Data within the MRP Report

The MRP report will default to a time frame beginning with the current week and will include 12 future weeks. The following information will be included for each product in this report:

  • Model, Name, Description: Basic information about the product imported from the Product section of NexsysOne

  • Lead Time: Projected lead time (in days) indicating how long it will take DISH to receive the material once ordered

  • Min Qty: The safety stock, or the minimum quantity that should be kept on hand at any given time

  • Min Weeks on Hand: An alternate safety stock option that will consider the next X weeks of demand (depending on the number input), allowing for a variable safety stock based on the upcoming demand

  • On Hand Stock (As Of Today): Current quantity in DISH’s possession at the warehouses (Item quantities are added to on hand stock once they are indicated as received at the warehouse via WMS, and items are subtracted from on hand stock once they are confirmed as shipped from the warehouse via WMS, or installed into the pre-assembled cabinet, depending on the item)

  • Past: Includes the supply/demand for all weeks prior to the displayed time frame

  • Demand: Indicates the quantity needed for that week (based on the Materials BOMs submitted by the markets)

  • On Order: Indicates the supply expected to arrive at the warehouse that week (based on the ‘Need By Date’ listed on the bulk POR)

  • Predicted On Hand: Indicates the predicted on hand based on the current on hand stock, minus the total demand up to that week, plus the total expected on order up to that week

  • Weeks: Multiple columns will appear to account for all weeks within the designated time frame

  • Future: Includes the supply/demand for all weeks after the displayed time frame

Color Coding

The MRP Report is color coded to indicate the status of the supply versus the demand currently projected for that week.

  • Green: That week’s demand is appropriately accounted for based on the On Hand Quantity and expected supply.

  • Orange: That week’s demand drives projected On Hand Quantity below the safety stock (Min Qty) amount.

  • Red: That week’s demand drives projected On Hand Quantity below zero.

  • Purple: That week’s demand drives projected On Hand Quantity below zero with current orders needed sooner than the product’s lead time.

Filtering the MRP Report
